ARCHIVES NEWS: The Griffith Institute’s collection of some 210 watercolours and drawings from various sources is currently being scanned by Jenni Navratil and catalogued by John Wyatt and Lee Young. The copies were made in ancient Egyptian tombs, especially in Middle Egypt, and in temples, such as Deir el-Bahri, by well-known Egyptologists, for example Howard Carter. The project has been sponsored by John Wyatt, R. B. Partridge and the Sussex Egyptology Society.
